Jumpstart is a complete optical training solution and provides professional practices with a consistent, unbiased training resource tool for staff members. Sponsored by Global Optics, this interactive CD-ROM training series is exclusively available from your independent Global member laboratory.

Approved by the American Board of Opticianry, Jumpstart is an unbiased training resource tool for both veteran opticians and inexperienced beginners. At the end of training, each disc of the Jumpstart training series is equipped with a comprehensive examination. Participants who earn a passing score of 70% or better may redeem their certificates for ABO continuing education credits.

Each disc of the Jumpstart training series includes video, animation, music and voice-over narration to provide the most comprehensive learning experience. Adjustable volume and music controls enable the participant to customize their learning experience.

Quizzes

Interactive Quizzes

At the end of each training section, an interactive quiz will assist the optical professional in reviewing the material covered. A short series of multiple choice and yes or no questions will be used to review the material of each section. If an incorrect answer is chosen, the program assists the optical professional by providing the correct answer and the reason their selected answer was incorrect.

Detailed Result Reporting

Detailed Result Reporting

Upon completion of each Jumpstart training disc, the participant may elect to complete a comprehensive examination reviewing the training material. The completed exam is scored and a detailed report of the participant's performance is provided. The detailed report breaks the test materials down by each training section on the disc and assigns a percentage to the participant’s performance. Detailed result reporting provides the participant with helpful information on which areas to review and focus for improvement.
